One thing that Tony and I have agreed on for our wedding is that we will have a photobooth. So since I am only working casual hours for the next few months, I have decided to make a bunch of props for fun times. Using a mixture of felt and paint and cardboard, then ta da! instant fantastic times.

In the last month I have been working around 3 days a week and it has been great. This week I am starting to get bored and sick of my own company at home. well angus and remo, our kittens are balls of fun, but they have spent the day sleeping.

Today was actually quite productive, i woke up, put our doona cover in the wash, i cleaned out the laundry and gave our kittens fresh litter which they both used immediately (even though they both cant fit in it, angus had his head and arms poking out the little door of it) I put a little wooden ladder in my bathroom to put my towels on, and re organised all of our tools outside, i hung our doona out and watered our lettuces and herbs. then i changed the position of some buttons on my coat because it is too big and i haven't even worn it yet, but i will be wearing it tomorrow night at the archie opening. then i listened to dr karl on jjj and drew up pictures of beards and glasses to start making props. made props by then it was 2pm and i had nothing left to do. made a sandwich, got into a smoking debate on facebook, got frankie magazine in the mail, wasted an hour reading through it. made some toast. now what to do? maybe i will make a fort with the cats with our dirty sheets because they LOVE playing in the sheets. who doesn't ?

Yesterday however I did almost nothing at all. I woke up to a message saying "modest mouse at splendour" from Tony. I got so excited I rang my friend Diana, got her voicemail, shouted for 5 minutes about modest mouse, hung up. got dressed, recieved a text from Diana saying she would be at my house soon and we would have coffee and breakfast. she came over we looked up the entire lineup for splendour, screamed and shouted "HOLY MACKEREL" and "OH MY GOODNESS" when i realised that the wild beasts were playing too. I contemplated running outside and rolling in the dirt i was so excited. We put the coffee on and had avocado and mustard seeds on toast for breakfast. then we talked about splendour some more. All we managed to do yesterday was have breakfast, walk to the post office, make lunch, and fix her birthday dress. By 5pm we had exhausted ourselves by doing nothing and went our separate ways.

today

today was the christening of the love of my life's niece. It was a wonderful day. I drank many glasses of wine which ended in an early afternoon nap. With daylight savings just finishing I woke up slightly disorientated thinking it was 10pm when in actual fact it was quarter past 7. Now it is actually 10pm and I am wide awake.

I am excited as I have sent through my measurements for my wedding dress to be made, I have made yes and no stamps for our rsvps and I have put together a book of all the ideas I like to keep everything together for all the many relatives who keep asking me how the planning is going. So as much as I hate planing at least I have something to show.

long time!

My newly organised wardrobe for all my felty goodness and business stuff.

I almost forgot I even had a blog, it's been so long since I've been on here. well yesterday I spent all day cleaning out my workspace to get it work able again (well not all day, I went for a walk in the morning with my friend diana, we then had breakfast of avocado on toast and the best coffee we have made yet, then shower, wash hair, diana went to work) I cleaned and grazed and then had no time to use my wonderfully organised room. so I guess lucky in a way I woke up with a swollen throat with ample time to do nothing except drink 'cough no more' tea (which was branded poison by work friends of mine that tried it once) and make ginger, lemon, carrot and apple juice.
So now I have so much space to use. I cleared an entire table and dedicated 4 shelves to wedding creations which I will be coming up with shortly. Above is the outcome of my cleaning, I wish I had before photos as it was a disgrace.

hiya CAFFY !

So it would seem that moustaches are fairly popular, when I started my hobby business making things out of felt I never thought it would actually take off, but since having my moustaches in a magazine and article here and there I now have a huge order of 140 moustaches for a wedding. very exciting times, also very busy times seeing as I'm working flat out for the terracotta warriors exhibition boy oh boy.

Not much time to do anything, although i have made time to grocery shop and re read the sookie stackhouse series again. I do just love them, and I do love lying on the lounge grating chocolate with my sharp teeth while reading and having our lovely kittens fall asleep on my belly, it sure is a nice way to spend time during this shitty summer. I have also had time to spend with my beloved boyfriend. though not nearly enough. it never is so ive made speech bubbles that say 'Hey i love you' and stuck them coming out of my mouth on all our photos together so that when im not around he still knows it.
Our housemate will be moving out this weekend and we are both hyped to start spring cleaning and re arranging things around the house it will be so lovely. i have so many plans and so many things can come out of storage and be put out on display.

I have become addicted to these most fantastic vegan chunky beef pies that are at a small cafe near glenfield station called cafe affinity. they are the most delicious pies I have ever had and even my boyfriend who is a hardcore carnivore couldn't believe it wasn't meat. yummo dadda. must spread the word and I found out that there is a vegan cake shop in leumeah

http://puredawning.com.au/

i bought a magazine today and it had the lady from the tv series nighty night in it. oh how i miss watching that. it brought back the best possible memories. the line "HIYA CAFFY' is the best

ooooooh yeah! things are swell

wedding fun

So we went to the best wedding a few weeks ago, it was at the art house and friends of ours got married at the rocks and then it was drinking and dancing and they had a great vegan option for me which was exciting. Earlier in the year my friend (bride to be) had asked me to make her wedding toppers out of felt and I did and boy was I was extremely pleased to see how they had turned out and they matched the cake perfectly.

Qmagazine

So Qmagazine (couriermail) were doing a few little fun things for movember and they asked if they could use a pic of my moustaches and I said sure. So I came home today to find they had send me a few copies which was exciting. so I've scanned it in. Very exciting times.

stones stones glorious stones for a boring day

Its a lazy day today, Usually on my lazy days I have popcorn for lunch because I can't be bothered making any real food and popcorn means I get to eat for ages, just shoving it in my mouth while I read or watch tv because I hardly ever do those things any more. but no popcorn. so i've cleaned my workspace, i've walked down the street to pick up our broken laptop, i've had a hot bath and drank numerous stones ginger beer, i've tried on my dress and shoes and make up for the wedding we are going to tomorrow, i've drawn up sketches of moustaches for a lady who is buying 130 from me for her wedding guests and for fun wedding photos, i've run downstairs now that my foot is better and went to the door, saw a shadowy figure at the door and heard the doorbell, realised that I was wearing a white shirt and no bra, wondered whether it was important enough to open, opened it anyway. no one there, no one walking away, no delivery van out the front. just the wind.
got creeped out, ran back upstairs, on the computer, talked to a few people, forget about the door. I've had lunch that consisted of a handful of mixed nuts, 5 green olives, and 2 passionfruits. took a few photos of things to put on my madeit store, heard the post man, went down for the post, yay fimo! and decided to make some moustaches and dinosaurs.

Now I have to wait for them to air dry and then paint away!
